Overview

JMDT80 is the mid-size tablet in the JNXTECH rugged line: an 8-inch WUXGA panel at 1200x1920 and 600 nits, so picking screens, forms and technical drawings stay readable at a dock door or in daylight. An optional Zebra SE4710, SE55 or CM60 imager sits behind a physical scan key, which means barcode capture without a sled, a trigger handle or a second device in the operator's hand.

The chassis is IP68 sealed and rated for 1.3 m drops to MIL-STD-810H at roughly 500 g and 11.6 mm, and a 6050 mAh hot-swap pack carries a unit through a double shift. The platform runs GMS-certified Android 16 with a stated upgrade path to Android 19, with intrinsically-safe and healthcare variants in the same family.

Features & Benefits

Large-Screen Scanning

8-inch WUXGA display with optional built-in Zebra SE scan engine — the only tablet in its class with integrated enterprise scanning.

All-Day Power

6050mAh battery with hot-swap capability. Change packs without shutdown during long shifts.

Rugged & Lightweight

500g at 11.6mm — lighter than Zebra ET5x series while keeping IP68 sealing and MIL-STD-810H certification.

5G Connected

5G WWAN with Wi-Fi 6 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, and multi-constellation GNSS for real-time field operations.

Specialized Variants

JMDT80Ex: Intrinsically-safe (Ex ib IIC T4 Gb). JMDT80HC: Disinfectant-ready for healthcare — categories Zebra does not cover.

Long Platform Life

GMS-certified Android 16 with a stated upgrade path to Android 19, so the tablet stays on a supported OS release instead of being retired at the first end-of-support date.

Glove & Wet-Hand Use

The touch layer responds through work gloves and to wet hands, and the IP68 seal covers rain and accidental immersion — the two conditions that most often send a general-purpose tablet back to the shelf.

Applications

Warehouse dock ops Field service Healthcare (HC model) Oil & gas (Ex model) Manufacturing Asset management Yard & gate check-in Inventory cycle counting

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — optional Zebra SE4710, SE55 or CM60 imager behind a physical scan key. No add-on sled required.
Yes. 6050mAh battery supports hot-swap — change packs without shutting down.
JMDT80HC is disinfectant-ready, resists alcohol, quaternary ammonium and peroxide wipes.
JMDT80Ex is certified Ex ib IIC T4 Gb (CCRI 25.7223X) for hazardous zones.
500g/11.6mm — lighter than ET5x (514g+). Android 16→19 vs ET51/56 (Android 11→14). Hot-swap battery included.
For scanning-led work, yes — the 8-inch WUXGA panel is wide enough for multi-column picking screens and drawings, and barcode capture is integrated rather than added on. Where an operator still needs a full desktop application, the tablet is normally paired with it rather than replacing it.
The 6050 mAh pack is hot-swap capable, so a shift change or a long pick wave does not need a power-down: swap the pack and keep working. For round-the-clock sites, keep one charged pack per device in rotation.
The tablet runs a GMS-certified Android build, so standard Android enterprise management applies rather than a vendor-specific toolchain. Confirm the enrolment method and the target Android version with us when you place the order.
